Iraq has tightened security along its border with Syria to prevent any possible infiltration by ISIS terrorists, following the US decision to pull out its troops from Syria.
As the group lost more lands in the neighboring country, ISIS elements could leak into the Iraqi territories, an Iraq military intelligence source was quoted by Al-Ekhbariya as saying.
More troops have been deployed to guard the border, said the source, asserting that the forces are imposing control on all borderline lands.
