Gov't to confiscate 'neglected' orchards from owners

There have been numerous governmental attempts since 2003 to implement malicious schemes to make demographic changes at the expense of Iraq and its people.

In this regard, a spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture, Hamid al-Nayif, revealed on Wednesday the activation of decisions on the protection of agricultural orchards.

Nayif said that the ministry will send teams to all orchards in the cities of the country in order to assess them, adding that the orchards assessed by the teams as neglected will be confiscated by the ministry and used for investment or sold.

Many people have been displaced, forcing citizens to abandon their homes and lands, which are now controlled by powerful government-backed militias.
