Baghdadi hiding in Hajin, Syria: intelligence sources

Information has been revealed that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is believed to be hiding in the city of Hajin in eastern Syria, according to intelligence sources.

Aircraft of the US-led global coalition against ISIS carried out 11 raids on targets in Hajin, expecting that Baghdadi was in the area, the sources said in a press statement.

The security forces announced on Monday foiling the ISIS militants' attempts to move from Syria to the borders with Iraq.

However, Baghdadi's presence in Hajin is not confirmed, and there have been reports in recent months that he has fled to Afghanistan with the help of the Iranian regime, which also played a part in al-Qaeda's move to Afghanistan from Sudan in the 1980s.
