Iranian air ambulances allowed to enter Iraq to serve Arbaeen pilgrims

The Head of Iranian medical emergency services, Bir-Hussein Kulwant stated on Monday that the Iranian emergency helicopters were allowed to use Iraqi airspace.
The Head of Iranian medical emergency services, Bir-Hussein Kulwant stated on Monday that the Iranian emergency helicopters were allowed to use Iraqi airspace during the Arba'een Pilgrimage to transport the wounded.

The Head of Iranian medical emergency services, Bir-Hussein Kulwant stated on Monday that the Iranian air ambulances were allowed to use the Iraqi airspace during the  Arbaeen Pilgrimage to transport the wounded pilgrims.

 

Kulwant stated that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Iraq's Health Ministry to offer services to the Iranian pilgrims of Imam Hussein, pointing out that the Iranian medical emergency teams can, if necessary, enter Iraq without routine protocol, to transport patients to Iran."

 

"We reached this agreement during our last-week visit to Iraq where we meet with the Iran's consulate general in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala”

 

Earlier, the caretaker of the Emergency Department of Iran, Pirhossein Kulivand, announced the readiness of the Iranian Air Emergency Service to serve Arbaeein pilgrims inside the Iraqi territory.

 

'The Iraqi people and government have provided a variety of facilities, including medical and therapeutic services to Arbaeen pilgrims, and we are beside the Iraqi brothers, to serve pilgrims, he said.
