Sources: 28 lawmakers withdraw from Abadi's Victory alliance

Haider al-Abadi
Up to 28 lawmakers have withdrawn from Victory alliance chaired by premier Abadi, according to sources.
They added among those who withdrew is Faleh al-Fayad, the head of IMIS militias backed by Iran.
The lawmakers who renounced Abadi's alliance are affiliated with Al-Fadila party, the Islamic Party, Ataa bloc, headed by al-Fayad and other individuals. The sources said the withdrawals came due to increasing differences between Abadi and IMIS chief after the latter was tapped for assuming the premiership of Iraq.
Earlier in August, Victory alliance asserted Abadi will be its nominee for the post of prime minister.
