Head of
the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF) Arshad Salihi announced that there are
political pressures behind the sudden and unjustified ending of manual
recounting of votes in Kirkuk.
In
a press statement, Salihi added that the judges rejected
to open more than 100 ballot boxes for unknown reasons.
He
stressed that the security authorities prevented the Turkmen from staging
protests in the province.
Salihi
pointed out that the judges, assigned to oversee the parliamentary elections
results, have ended the recounting process without giving any reasons.
He
added that this proves the high level of electoral fraud ranging between 50% and 100% in
some districts.
Salihi
pointed out that political pressures were imposed upon the judges by
some political blocs in order to exclude Turkmen affiliates from forming the
new government.
