Iraqi judiciary must solve elections crisis: Saairun

Saairun Alliance, which is led by Sadrist Movement leader Moqtada al-Sadr, said that the Iraqi judiciary must take serious actions to solve the parliamentary elections crisis.

One of alliance leaders, Raed Fahmi said that Saairun believes it got the number of votes that was announced by the High Electoral Commission, stressing that the implementation of the project adopted by the alliance will be after the formation of the next government.

Fahmi pointed out that some blocs are complicating the political scene in Iraq, stressing that this is unacceptable.

Iraqi people made their way to the poll stations On May 12 to cast their ballots in the country's first parliamentary elections since the defeat of ISIS terrorist group in December 2017.

Saairun Alliance won the most number of seats in the upcoming parliament.

On June 12, Sadr and Iran-backed Badr militia’s leader Hadi al-Amiri announced an alliance between their political parties in order to form the parliament’s largest bloc.
