Saudi-lead Arab coalition announced in a statement on Saturday that Iran-allied Houthi militia has suffered heavy losses in Yemen’s Saada during the past 24 hours.
The coalition revealed in the statement that 44 Houthis were killed during the past 24 hours, adding that a number of the militia's equipment were destroyed.
Yemeni army, backed by coalition forces, has advanced in recent days toward Jawf and Saada provinces in northern Yemen, amid continued collapse of Houthi militia in its main stronghold, Saada.
Houthis are trained and funded by Iran to overthrow the government of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.
In 2015, an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia was formed to oust the Shia militants from Yemen.
