Iraq's Parliament Speaker, Salim al-Jabouri met on Sunday with the negotiating delegation of Saairun Alliance, headed by Nassar al-Rubaie, to discuss the results of the parliamentary elections, which was announced by the High Electoral Commission on Saturday.
Jabouri called on political parties and blocs to mobilize all efforts in order to form a government that reflects Iraq's diverse society.
The Parliament speaker confirmed during the meeting that the political blocs must make concessions to come out with a unified vision on the formation of the new government in order to achieve the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
On May 12, Iraqi people made their way to the poll stations to cast their ballots in the country's first parliamentary elections since the defeat of ISIS terrorist group in December 2017.
Saairun Alliance, which is led by Sadrist Movement leader Moqtada al-Sadr, won the most number of seats in the upcoming parliament.
