Saudi Arabia to provide $ 1.5 billion for reconstruction in Iraq- FM Jubeir
Saudi Arabia has allocated USD 1.50 billion for investment in Iraq, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said on Thursday.

Jubeir remarks came while he was addressing Arab ministers participating in the preparatory conference for the 29 Arab summit.

"We must seize the opportunity of construction of Iraq to guarantee its contributions with Arab neighbors to support the progress of Joint Arab Action", Jubeir said.

In February Kuwait hosted an international donation conference for supporting reconstruction in Iraq.

United Arab Emirates vowed to implement a housing project in Rashid city in Baghdad with a total cost USD 500 billion and to develop Port of Umm Qasr with USD 5.5 billion.

Turkey announced that it will provide loan facilities for reconstruction in Iraq estimated at USD five billion.

Germany, Britain, Japan vowed to invest in the reconstruction process in Iraq via UN agencies and international organizations.
