Saudi warplanes targeted on Monday evening a military base affiliated to Iran-backed Houthi militias in Saada of Yemen, a video obtained by The Baghdad Post showed.
This comes after Houthi ballistic missiles were fired against Saudi Arabia late on Sunday in which an Egyptian expatriate was killed while three others were injured.
Earlier, Saudi
air defense system managed to intercept seven Iran-manufactured ballistic
missiles including one over Riyadh, Arab coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki
said.
The missile
attacks marking the third anniversary of the Saudi-led war in Yemen were
strongly condemned by Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
The casualties were the first in Saudi Arabia's capital since the Saudi-led war
in Yemen began in March 2015, though previous rockets fired by the Yemeni
rebels have caused deaths in other parts of the kingdom.
