Iran-allied IMIS Militias announced Wednesday their terrorists would attack Tuz Khurmatu, claiming unidentified gunmen were targeting the city with mortars, sources told the Baghdad Post.
Spokesman for IMIS in Tuz Khurmanu, Ali Hashim, claimed in a press statement the move comes to defend the city against mortar attacks.
IMIS Militias have a long record of atrocities against civilians particularly Sunnis.
Human rights groups, particularly Amnesty International, said the
IMIS brutalities amount to war crimes.
IMIS are closely linked with Iran. They are part of hundreds of militias deployed by Iran to destabilize Arab countries.
