Deputy Commander of IMIS Militias, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes said Saturday his terrorists were ready to enter Syria to protect the Iraqi borders according to orders from Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
"IMIS are ready to enter Syrian territory for the purpose of protecting the Iraqi border if Abadi decided it," al-Muhandis said.
"We can not stand idly by amid threats on Syrian-Iraqi border," he said.
"If the Syrian military forces and our allies on the other side secure the borders, then we have no problem," he claimed.
IMIS have been involved in a string of attacks against civilians particularly Sunnis.
Human rights groups, most notably Amnesty International, said those attacks amount to war crimes.
