Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense met with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan, Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
During the reception, they disused latest developments, in the region of the Middle East, including the US decision to recognize al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of Israel and to relocate US embassy to the city and the fallout of the decision, which considered as a huge setback for endeavors exerted to drive the peace process forward.
They also emphasized, during the reception, the historically well-established rights of the Palestinian people, in al-Quds and other occupied territories, guaranteed by relevant international resolutions.
On the other hand, cordial talks related to bilateral relations were exchanged, during the reception, too, in addition to discussing promising opportunities for development, in all aspects, including joint efforts to combat terrorism.
The reception was attended by Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Turki, Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers Massed bin Mohammed Al-Ayban, the accompanying escort minister and other senior officials.
From the Jordanian side, the reception was attended by the Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II and accompanying delegation.
