Several Iranian cities, including Tehran, witnessed sit ins and popular demonstrations against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)'s banks that declared their bankruptcy.
Those banks' bankruptcy resulted in the losses of over 120,000 civilians' savings, which led to major outrage against these IRGC establishments.
Some of these protests went violent, as some shot or burned these banks and IRGC headquarters.
Internal Security Chief Hussein Rahimi also revealed that several banks suffered armed attacks in Tehran last Saturday.
He added that the violence erupted as instigators incited the youth on social media outlets, who burned a mosque and several banks in Tehran, noting that the security forces arrested many of them.
These announcements come as civilians continue their sit in, in front of the Ministry of Justice for the 23rd day in a row.
