Iraqi Parliament's measures against Kurdish MPs are unlawful, Saleem Hamza, a member of Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), said Wednesday.
All lawmakers have legal immunity which protects them as well as they are people's representatives and the Parliament speaker has no right to form investigative committees to bring to account the Kurdish MPs for participating in Kurdistan independence referendum.
Kurdish MPs have not attended the parliament session on Tuesday as it took new measures against Kurdistan after the referendum.
These new measures allow the parliament to prosecute the Kurdish MPs.
Earlier on Sep. 25, Kurdistan has conducted the Region's independence referendum with 91.83% of the region's residents voting for the independence of the region.
