An ISIS attack at Syrian-Iraqi al-Walid border checkpoint was foiled by Hashid al-Anbar, a leader from Hashid al-Anbar Shakir al-Rishawi announced on Sunday.

Hashid al-Anbar's Fawg Soqour al-Sahraa militia with aerial support from the US-led Coalition foiled an ISIS attack in al-Rutbah area in Anbar, according to al-Rishawi.

ISIS attacked the area from two fronts, the first one from the Iraqi desert in al-Rutbah and the second from Albu Kamal in Syria, al-Rishwai added.

Hashid al-Anbar killed four suicide bombers and destroyed three booby-trapped vehicles, al-Rishawi asserted.
