Three civilians were killed and eight others injured in two separate explosions in southern Baghdad on Wednesday, security sources told The Baghdad Post.
In a press statement, a police source said "An explosive charge near a fish shop in al-Yussefeya district, southern Baghdad killed two and injured seven".
He added another charge attached to a car near Dawra district killed the driver and critically wounded another passenger.
The police have cordoned off the blast scenes. The wounded were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The bodies were carried to forensic medicine department.
In another bombing on Wednesday in al-Weshash district, in western Baghdad, seven civilians were killed.
Iraq is witnessing a state of instability and insecurity since 2003 in which a lot of militias had been formed. These militias are following foreign agendas and politics that aim to destroy the country.
