Iraq counter-terrorism forces liberate al-Mo'almeen, al-Saylo in Mosul


Iraqi counter-terrorism forces on Thursday liberated al-Mo'almeen and al-Saylo neighborhoods in the right bank of Mosul.

Security forces are currently stationed some 2 kilometers close to Nouri al-Kabeir Mosque, which has a famous minaret called Manaret al-Hadbaa, in which ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi used to deliver his speeches to his followers and ISIS militants.

One of the most significant historical landmark of Mosul city is "Manaret Al-Hadbaa" or (The humped minaret) and "Al-Jami' Al-Nuri" (Al-Nuri mosque).

The operation comes as part of the offensive launched by the Iraqi forces on 19th of February to retake the right bank of Mosul from ISIS terrorists.
