Two Iraqi nationals have been wounded in an explosion targeting an army checkpoint west of the capital Baghdad, well-informed sources told the Baghdad Post Thursday.
The source said in a press statement: "An explosive device exploded this evening near an Iraqi army checkpoint in Abu Ghraib district, west of Baghdad, wounding one soldier and one civilian".
The source, who asked not to be named, said that a security force took those who were wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment, without giving further details.
