MP Massoud Haider said the new Iraqi government formation may get delayed until the beginning of 2019 due to parliamentary elections results crisis.
Haidar pointed out that the process of manual recount of parliamentary elections votes and sending its results to the Federal Supreme Court and the parliament to get approved in order to choose the parliament's speaker and Iraq's president will lead to the delay of forming the new government.
"In this case, Iraq will enter a very dangerous political situation as some parties have militias. The consequences of this delay will be severe", Haider said.
He noted that manual recount of votes would last six months, which means delaying government formation until the beginning of 2019.
