Forces of the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad on
Thursday evening have launched an offensive against al-Yarmouk refugee camp,
citing threats from ISIS terrorists entrenched inside it.
The Syrian regime's artillery have intensified shelling the camp, with the Air Force offering support to the ground forces.
Sources told The Baghdad Post many Palestinian refugees settle in the camp, and Assad regime forces seek to drive them out, claiming they are ISIS terrorists.
The sources also said all the militias fighting for Assad, who claim they want to liberate al-Quds, are now partaking in the offensive.
"No Palestinian movement came forward to condemn the regime's attack on the camp that targets Palestinians in the first place," they noted.
