Asayish forces, Kurdish Democratic
Party's police (KDP) forces, had sacked its chief in Kirkuk and appointed a successor,
Kurdish security source told The Baghdad Post on Wednesday.
The source revealed that Gen. Halo Najat had been dismissed as chief of Kirkuk security forces, to be succeeded by Col. Edris, with no further details about the resignation reasons.
Baghdad-Kurdistan relations witnessed tensions in the past six months, over the independence referendum Kurdistan held in September.
