Iranian police kill 3, wound 444 ahead of Red Wednesday

Three Iranians have been killed and 444 others injured in clashes between protesters and police forces in different Iranian cities as the Iranians prepare for celebrating the Red Wednesday. 

 

Spokesman for Iranian Health ministry said those injured were carried to hospital for treatment. But medical sources who requested anonymity said some of the injured were in critical cases. 

 

On December 28, sweeping protests hit some 75 Iranian cities. More than 25 protesters were killed while thousands were injured.

 

Also, in late February, labor strikes hit major Iranian cities.
