A total of 800,000 of Mosul civilians are living in camps and waiting to return their homes, MP Ahmed al-Jerba announced on Wednesday.
"At least 300, civilians have been prevented from going back to their homes in Mosul city", Jerba added.
"some political blocs want to prevent civilians from going back to their areas to guarantee the winning in upcoming elections", he further said
Jerba urged Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to replace the displaced civilians before holding elections.
About one million of Mosul civilians evacuated the war-torn city after it had fallen into hands of ISIS terrorists in 2014.
Only 200,000 civilians returned to their homes while the rest are still suffering dire conditions in camps.
Mosul population reached two million in 2014.
