A total of 52 terrorists were killed in the military offensive to liberate al-Shirqat district, Interior Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan announced on Thursday.
This comes as Iraqi security forces on Thursday launched a wide-scale operation to oust ISIS terrorists from the left bank of al-Shirqat district.
The operation resulted in the destruction of two booby-trapped cars and four ISIS premises.
After Mosul liberation, Iraqi security forces began to sweep rest of Iraqi cities to eradicate remnants of ISIS terror group.
