Several mortar shells landed on caravans of the Iran-backed Shiite militias (IMIS) in Jadriya in Baghdad and were fired from al-Baladiyat district, Interior Ministry spokesman Brigadier Saad Maan confirmed on Thursday.
In a statement, Maan added that the incident did not result in any loss of equipment or personnel. It is most likely that the mortars did not contain explosives, he added.
