Death cases have drastically increased in western Anbar Governorate amid a severe seige from Iran-allied IMIS militias, sources told the Baghdad Post Wednesday.
The sources confirmed that neighborhoods in Annah, Rawa and Qa'im suffered deaths due to starvation and drug shortage.
Most of the deaths have been recorded among aged people and children, the sources said.
They added some of the beseiged families were forced to flee their homes towards safer areas in Ramadi.
Local residents confirmed the government gave them no assisstance.
