Qatar seemingly has nothing but lies to deal with its current crisis with Arab neighbors. Despite efforts to end the crisis, these lies only make things worse.
Qatari media outlets have denied statements by Kuwaiti Emir Sheigh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah that the tiny Gulf state was ready to comply with the 13-demand list put by boycotting Arab countries.
Al-Sabah's statements were given during Thursday's joint press conference in Washington with US President Donald Trump following talks over the Gulf crisis.
In late June, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt severed ties with Doha over the latter's support of terrorism and maintaining powerful relationa with Iran.
Also, Doha claimed the phone call between Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman and Qatar's Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani came at the request of US President Trump.
However, Saudi Foreign Ministry refuted Qatari claims in an official statement.
What has been published by Qatari news agency confirms Doha has no readiness to avoid distorting facts. It also shows Qatar does not understand the Saudi firm stance that will never tolerate Qatari violations of treaties and facts,' the statement read.
On Friday, bin Salman received a pone call from Tamim. The latter confirmed his country's desire to initiate talks, according to Al-Arabiya News.
Riyadh stresed it would not initiate any talks without Qatar's openly freezing its support of terrorism.
The Saudi statement confirmed that Qatari confusion would never rebuild confidence in Doha.
During the call, Tamim expressed his country's readiness to abide by the boycoting countries' demands i na way that meets all sides' interests.
Bin Salman welcomed Tamim's desire. He said a final statement on the Qatari demands will be released after consultations with UAE, Bahrain and Egypt.
Senior Qatari politician, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali al-Thani said in a tweet Friday, "I am pleased with Sheikh Tamim's desire to initiate dialogue with Saudi authorities and other Arab boycotting countries".
Analysts told the Baghdad Post that Doha seeks to launch ttalks with boycotting countries before showing a real compliance with the 13 demands.
The added the Qatari lies attempt to gain time to abort any Arab plans to fight terrroism and countries supporting it.
