Iraqi MP Ahmed al-Salmani warned on Monday of attempts to make a "demographic change" in districts located in northern Babel Governorate by kidnappings, killings and population displacement.
Al-Salmani said that families living in northern Babel districts received threats of liquidation if they did not flee from their districts within 24 hours.
Residents are forced to leave their houses amid government dead silence, he noted.
He also stated that 61 citizens were kidnapped from northern Babel districts a week ago while one resident was killed and his body left on a roadside.
He added that four days ago 15 civilians were abducted.
1,000 citizens were kidnapped, hundreds were killed and 100,000 displaced Iraqis were denied the right to return to their liberated districts over the past three years in northern Babel districts, al-Salmani said.
On Saturday, residents of Musayyib City in northern Babel pleaded for protection from atrocities by Hezbollah Shiite militia.
These pleas came as Hezbollah militias kidnap civilians and demand ransoms from their families and relatives.
