The intelligence service of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has detained 23 officers on charges of disclosing "critical" information that confirms IRGC involvement in carrying out cyber-attacks on Turkey in 2014 and 2015, well-informed sources said on Monday.
Senior officers are among the detainees, the media reports noted.
In April 2015, Turkey witnessed an unprecedented power outage which lasted for about 10 hours due to cyber attacks on power plants.
The major outage hit Turkish cities and provinces, including Ankara and Istanbul, where parts of the metro system shut down for several hours and shopping malls were plunged into darkness.
A Turkish energy ministry official, who solved outage problem, said there is no evidence to confirm that this outage was due to a cyber attack.
