Students of Mosul University have organized a cultural festival in front of the university's library that was torched by ISIS terrorists earlier in May, a video released by Nineveh Media Center showed Thursday.
During the festival that was named "A Book From Within the Ashes", the books that were saved from the ISIS arson were shown for the public.
The festival also included music concerts, art exhibitions for paintings and portraits produced by the university's talented artists.
ISIS burnt the Mosul Library after taking over the city in 2014.
The terror group, which considers sculptures as symbols of infidelity, has damaged hundreds of Iraq's cultural heritage landmarks.
Hundreds of Iraqi antiquities were sold out in online auctions.
