ISIS terrorists on Saturday attacked a security checkpoint in southwestern Kirkuk province, a security source told The Baghdad Post.
The source said the point located in al-Riyadh area of al-Hawija district in southwestern Kirkuk.
He affirmed that some of the security personnel were injured in the attack.
In December, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced the full defeat of ISIS terror group.
Iraqi security forces since then swept several cities to clear it from ISIS remnants.
