Iraqi gov't begins rebuilding Mosul international airport

Iraqi engineering teams began on Saturday rebuilding Mosul's international airport in northern Iraq.

 

In a press statement, Nineveh governor Noufal al-Kaoub said that the engineering team will repair the damages done by the war against ISIS terrorists.

 

He added that the teams have started on Saturday to remove rubble from the airport, in preparation to begin repairing the damages to bring its services back.

 

He noted that the teams will also build two runways and a new reception hall.
