At least seven militants were killed and three others
injured in airstrikes launched by the Afghan Air Force in northern Faryab
province of Afghanistan, the Afghan army said on Saturday.
In a statement, the Afghan army noted that the Afghan Air Force intensified airstrikes targeting the Taliban hideouts in Faryab province in response to the growing threats of terrorists who are attempting to expand insurgency in the northern parts of the country, Khama press news agency reported.
Faryab is among the relatively volatile provinces in the northern parts of the country where the anti-government militants are actively operating in a number of its districts.
