The Iraqi security forces have stepped up their security measure s to prevent ISIS terrorists' infiltration to the reclaimed areas, Eastern Anbar Operations Commander Gen. Sa'ad Harbiya said in Wednesday.
In a press statement, Harbiya said that the security forces in Fallujah and its vicinity have stepped up their security measures as the operations in western Anbar continues to prevent ISIS fleeing terrorists to infiltrate the recaptured areas.
He added that the security situation in Anbar's reclaimed areas is stable.
This comes as Iraqi security forces fully recaptured Nineveh governorate which was considered to be ISIS' main strong hold in Iraq and are currently sweeping Iraq to oust ISIS remnants from them.
