An Iraqi citizen has been killed while seven others have been injured in two separate blasts in northern and southern Baghdad, a security source reveled Wednesday.
The source said that one person was killed while two others were injured when an explosive device went out near a wholesale shop in al-Hamamiyat village in Taji district in northern Baghdad.
Five people have sustained injuries of varying severity when an explosive device went out near a popular market in Sayid Abdullah village in al-Mahmoudiyah district in southern Baghdad, he added.
The Iraqi capital Baghdad is witnessing a state of insecurity and chaos as terror attacks target civilians.
According to casualty figures recorded by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), a total of 125 Iraqi civilians were killed and another 188 injured in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in Iraq in August 2017.
